Maybe its a mistake to think of the Loch Ness Monster - indeed any monster - in terms of flesh & blood.
I suspect it may be more of the order of strange creatures from "over there"... wherever "over there" is.
Things that manifest themselves "over here" for short periods of time, then go back.
Another thing that occurs... there have always been tales of "something" in Loch Ness, going way back, a thousand years or more. However the modern age of 20th century sightings seems to have started quite soon after a certain Mr. Aleister Crowley was resident at the Loch [his old house was later bought by Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame, I believe].
It'd be interesting to speculate whether he [Crowley, not Page] performed any magick that, purposefully or accidentally, re-energised the monster.
Sort of like putting new batteries in it, so to speak...
Anyone recall Doc Shiels' attempts to conjour up Nessie ?
